Skills for the Future Fund

'Skills for the Future' is a new fund that will soon be available for unions to provide extra support and learning opportunities. Unions will be able to apply for contracts to deliver services within the South West of England, excluding Cornwall where other funding support is available. The fund will sponsor unions to:

  • Ensure support is given to workers at risk of redundancy aimed at increasing workers' employability

  • Provide learning and skill development opportunities, including the training of union learning representatives

Unionlearn in the South West will be launching the 'Skills for the Future' Fund later this summer when further information will be issued.

The fund will be managed by unionlearn and supported by the West of England Regional Development Agency, the European Social Fund and the Union Learning Fund (BIS).

If you would like further information please contact unionlearn*, South West on: unionlearnsouthwest@tuc.org.uk or phone: 0117 947 0521
