South West TUCTrade unions are working to improve learning opportunities in workplaces across the South West and a team of unionlearn Project Workers is based around the region to support this activity. The South West Education team provide a programme of accredited courses for trade union officers and representatives. Skills for the Future Fund 'Skills for the Future' is a new fund that will soon be available for unions to provide extra support and learning opportunities. Unions will be able to apply for contracts to deliver services within the South West of England, excluding Cornwall where other funding support is available. The fund will sponsor unions to:
Unionlearn in the South West will be launching the 'Skills for the Future' Fund later this summer when further information will be issued. The fund will be managed by unionlearn and supported by the West of England Regional Development Agency, the European Social Fund and the Union Learning Fund (BIS).
