Higher education opportunities for union learners
A North West HE* provider digest
This project has investigated and developed models of engagement and ways to encourage demand for higher level learning. This 'North West Provider Digest' is one of a number of publications that have been developed to support the essential role of union learning representatives ( ULRs ) in advising members about the opportunities available to them in HE. The digest provides a snapshot of what a selection of North West HE providers have to offer union learners during the academic year 2007/8. It also provides an indication of the providers' willingness to engage with workplace learners and their preparedness to meet union members' needs for less traditional and more flexible provision. In offering this insight, we hope the digest will provide a useful and practical resource for ULRs in the North West region.
