This course will help safety reps: - identify the range of hazards and procedures covered by new health and safety legislation, standards or policies - recognise the implications of new legislation, standards or policies for the workplace or union - specify action that needs to be taken at work and in your trade union
Course outline	- Introductions, aims & how the course will work - Keeping up to date - New laws - New standards - Trade union/TUC policies - Review of risk assessments in relation to the new laws/standards - Implications in the workplace - Agreeing tasks for a workplace activity - Action planning and steps that need to be taken - Role play negotiation on action plan - Accreditation
