Due to the demanding nature of the Diploma in Contemporary Trade Unionism course, all applicants are required to provide the course tutors with additional information detailing the knowledge and experience that you have gained as a union representative.
To further assess your suitability for the course we will require you to complete a short written task. The form also asks you to assess your own IT skills.
Please note the course is designed for experienced union representatives only. Online courses are especially suitable for those union reps that require a convenient and more flexibly delivered course. However to be a successful online learner you will need to be self-motivated, self-disciplined and highly organised.
We would expect you to:
- study for at least 6 hours a week;
- work with any groups you are asked to join;
- access the web and email at least 3 times a week:
- complete coursework on time.
Please note that the Diploma courses require a lot of study time and commitment. Therefore we recommend you only apply for one diploma course at a time. If you are unsure which course is suitable for you, please contact your Regional Education Officer.
