Applications for Union Learning Representatives CoursesIn order to improve the co-ordination of courses for Union Learning Representatives (ULR) and to maximise training resources, TUC Education in Scotland will collate all applications for Union Learning Rep courses in Scotland. In order to assist with the process, please send all applications to: Harry Cunningham The intention is not to discourage Trade Union Studies Centres from advertising and recruiting their own ULR* courses or to discourage unions from commissioning courses with specific TUC Centres, but to further supplement these important initiatives. Too often we have had a situation where courses have failed to recruit and a small number of applications for training are being held on file. By pooling applications centrally, we will be able to hold applications until a viable class size is reached. Once a viable class size has been reached, applications will then be passed on to the relevant TUC course coordinator for action. A pooled centralised list will be used to:
