Leicester's Alice Hawkins and Votes for Women Unionlearn in the Midlands invited people from Leicester city centre workplaces to attend a learning event to mark Adult Learners' Week* on 20^th May at Leicester Adult Education College. The new TUC film on the struggle for Equal* Pay was shown and the audience also learnt about Leicester's suffragette and active trade unionist, Alice Hawkins, from her great grandson.
