Face of education changed for millions as unionlearn launches Online Learning Centre at TUC Congress
Hundreds of learndirect courses will be available online for millions of trade unionists from today (Monday 10 September) when unionlearn, the TUC's learning and skills organisation, joins forces with Newcastle College Trade Union Education Centre to launch their new Online Learning Centre. This exciting, new way of learning was unveiled at the TUC Congress at Brighton and will revolutionise access to education for millions of union members and their families.

Trade union use of ICT in support of learning
This report was commissioned by the TUC's Building Opportunities Through Workplace Learning Project, to draw an accurate picture of the scale and types of use of ICT by trade unions in support of learning, either in workforce development or trade union education. The report is based on five case studies of trade union use of ICT in support of learning in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK, and one of trade union education at the transnational/European level.

Unions leading the way in e-learning
The face of workplace learning is changing dramatically to meet the demands of the 21st century, according to a new report released today (Tuesday) by the TUC. The ‘Logging onto learning' report reveals that unions are setting up specific training centres in workplaces or in union buildings working with employers to allow workers to learn new skills.
