Get online, Get a lifeline
Unionlearn and UK online centresBelow you can find links to resources and information to help people in the workplace understand the digital world and get online. The Pass IT On Handbook for ULRs (issued in November) explains how to directly help your colleagues or friends and family with their first steps on the internet, while we also have introductory information for learning centres and to pass on to other reps. You can also find links to Splash and Grab, a fun game to introduce learners to the simple mouse clicking and keyboard skills that will be essential to navigating the internet, and to the myguide site itself, with an array of support materials and registration for the suite of simple online basics courses, all designed for the total beginner to master the fundamentals of the digital world. Whenever you help anyone register with myguide it would help us understand how well the courses are doing in helping our members access the internet if you would remember to quote unionlearn's centre number (3450748), or that of any union learning centre you might be using.
