Stream: Learning through unions

Green Skills

logoUnionlearn launches a new webpage for all trade union members interested in 'green skills'.

With the world facing the great challenge of tackling climate change, we all have a part to play and with a half of UK carbon emissions coming from workplaces, there is no better place to start.

Unionlearn's 'Green Skills' web page, now in its early development phase, will work alongside the TUC's Green Workplaces project to promote opportunities to develop skills for sustainability, climate change adaptation and environmental protection for all workers.

The webpage is launched with a publication 'Greener Deals' which describes how union representatives can achieve practical changes in their workplace. We have also included the TUC's recent response to the UK government's consultation on low carbon skills strategy, for your interest.
