Organising for Learning - Building union organisation through learning [Case study pack]
This pack is for trade union reps, organisers, educationalists and anyone interested in organising and learning in the workplace.
The pack includes seven union case studies on organising and learning in the workplace. They demonstrate how a stronger trade union movement is emerging through the learning and organising process.
Each case study:
- identifies how trade unions at the national level use strategies to evaluate union learning in terms of recruitment, organisation and activity - including bargaining
- explores how these strategies are carried through at the workplace level and/or informed by workplace practice, identifying how far union learning can impact on membership and workplace organisation and activity.

Also enclosed is a unionlearn/TUC resource, Organising for Learning, for use in the workplace. This will help you to achieve a more active membership with more ULRs. It will make you more effective on the ground - where real gains can be made - and help you build an effective learning culture in your workplace.
