Unions Brokering Management Skills - East Midlands

Extension of Project

TRAINING PROVISION

unionlearn* (Midlands) has been successful in obtaining funding from EMDA (East Midlands Development Agency) to extend their very successful 'Unions Brokering Management Skills Project'. This is a unique project exclusive to the East Midlands will involve delivery of levels 3 and 4 management and leadership skills. The aim of the project is to deliver to four Key Sectors covering transport and equipment, food and drink, construction and healthcare. However this is not exclusive. Whilst engaging the interest and support of the employer in order to ensure sustainability of the up-skilling workers to their full potential. All work will be brokered via the trade unions

As such, we are seeking expressions of interest from training providers in becoming preferred training providers. We welcome interest from those who share our union ethos, vision, professionalism and commitment. We will deliver a series of high quality management and leadership modules across the region in the next 2 years and require a number of qualified and experienced providers to achieve our objective and support us in our vision of well trained managers and supervisors across the region.

To be considered for these opportunities you will have relevant experience and qualifications in delivery of management and leadership skill at level 3 and beyond. Preferred candidates must be able to provide the following:

  • A letter of interest
  • 100 words (approx) on your top three management and leadership skills delivery initiatives that would gain our attention as trade unionists
  • Your Adult Learner Inspection details including proof of attainment (on request) or equivalent quality assurance
  • Your contact details including main contact person

We will

  • Acknowledge receipt of your letter of interest etc. via email
  • Contact you if you have been successful in being placed on our 'preferred providers ' list and to seek further information on your ALI status or other QS
  • Arrange to meet with you if we wish to discuss possible training delivery, contracts, payments etc.

At this stage we would request no unsolicited phone calls/emails due to restricted resources and time available on this project. Thank you.

Closing date for expressions of interest by email to Irene.murray@tuc.org.uk by 1st Dec 2008.

NOTE to current providers for the Unions Brokering Management Skills Project'

Training providers on our current list from the previous project can remain on that list by sending us an email to indicate there wish to continue that relationship. No further documents are required as we havel your details on file. A zero response will indicate your wish to no longer be involved in this project.
