Quick Reads* Competition

imageAre you a budding writer? Have you always wanted to see your story published in a book? Have you got an interesting story to tell about your working life?

If you enjoy writing and feel inspired to put pen to paper with a short story about your working life and experience, then now is your chance.

books Unionlearn has joined forces with Quick Reads to launch a competition to find up to twenty short stories about working people's lives, to publish as a Quick Read in March 2010. The competition is open to all trade union members and the stories should be between 1,500 and 2,500 words.

Whether it's a story about life in the UK from an immigrant's eyes, or the joys of working in a workplace where everyday is like a soap opera. Whatever your story, put it down on paper and send it in. Don’t forget, your stories must be real life tales, based on experiences or events at work.

The closing date is 31 January 2009.

Please read the terms and conditions before submitting your story.
