Making skills count – Unions’ English, maths and digital skills network

Date and time

10 October 2019 10:00–13:00

TUC, Congress House, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LS

Join Unions’ English, maths and digital skills network and come to discuss the impact of functional skills qualification reforms for your learners and share feedback from your experience.

Colleagues from Community will be showcasing how their union supports English and digital skills.

And we’ll also dedicate time to make the best use out of unionlearn’s guide Working to close the digital divide.

To help make this session active, please bring along information of an app or website you’ve found useful/fun/helpful in your work or when supporting learners whether it’s English, maths or digital skills.

The network will be facilitated by an independent education consultant Sue Southwood and Kirsi Kekki from unionlearn.

  • 10.00: Arrival – coffee & tea
  • 10.30: Kick-off
  • 13.00: Close and sandwich lunch

This event is an opportunity to discuss English, maths and digital skills learning support in the workplace.
