How to achieve the award and how to apply

Four simple steps to achieving the unionlearn Quality Award

There are four stages to achieving the award. A unionlearn Assessor will guide you through the process:

  1. Commitment: apply to unionlearn using the online application form
  2. Development: agree an action plan and gather evidence
  3. Assessment: match evidence to the standards; and
  4. Accreditation: achieve national recognition for your work with unions and union leaders.

Once the Award has been achieved, unionlearn will monitor, and at its discretion, carry out a review, to ensure that the Award remains valid and current. A light-touch review must be carried out at least every three years.

There is an expectation that organisations will undertake to promote their achievement of the Quality Award and will ensure an effective communications strategy to maintain its profile. Unionlearn is happy to support any joint publicity activities and will promote the achievement on its website.

How to apply

To apply, please complete the online application form. Once this has been submitted, a regional unionlearn representative will contact you.
