The TUC and unionlearn have produced a new guide for reps bargaining for accessible apprenticeships policies in the workplace.
The guide sets out the current economic situation for disabled people, the barriers disabled people face, government initiatives to support disabled workers and provides a checklist for reps. The guide also provides good practice case studies on how unions and employers can work together to support disabled apprentices.
Unionlearn hopes the guide will be a very useful resource for all reps, but in particular Union Learning Reps – many of whom are presently working with employers to ensure that apprenticeships are of high quality apprenticeships following the introduction the introduction of the Apprenticeships Levy.
