There will also be a presentation from Serco on the Skills Support for the Workforce in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
Unionlearn Project Officer Matt Pointon said:
Career Leaning Pilots aim to support local businesses fill skills gaps and make it easier for adults to take part in training to help them get a new job or change career.”
It is important that unions understand how these pilots are intended to work so they can offer the best support possible to members in workplaces involved in the pilot– the day will bring together providers and others to update attendees on the opportunities for learning and skills that the pilots could offer.
The free event runs from 9.30 to 2.00. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided, and there is free parking at the venue.
