2017 will be a year of big changes for TUC Education as it launches a new learning offer to reps across the country, an offer aimed at making it easier to access training and more be responsive to learners needs.
Hear from the TUC on the range of new services developed to support reps – the training available, the tools and resources reps can access and ways of working with other activists at an event in Penrith on Wednesday 8th March. All reps including shop stewards, health and safety reps and ULRs, new or experienced, will get a taste of what’s on offer from the TUC to help them as union representatives organising in the workplace.
There'll also be an update for reps from unionlearn on Apprenticeships, including the forthcoming Levy, maths and English, Supporting Mid-Life Development and Mental Health at Work.
Beth Farhat, Northern TUC Regional Secretary, said:
In rural areas, such as Cumbria, it is often difficult to run training courses that are accessible to delegates. The new offer from TUC Education, with its mix of online and blended learning courses will make it easier for busy reps to access the training they need to support their members.
This event in Penrith will be the best way for unions to find out about the changes to the new TUC Education offer and see for themselves the new resources and website."
