The 2018 events tied in with the 150th anniversary of the TUC and interest in the ways that trade unions can support workplace learning and skills was very high – with over 350 reps and officers registering.

This year the events focused on a number of key areas including:

*) Mental Health at Work

*) The National Retraining Scheme

*) How to write a blog

There was also updates on the latest resources available and new TUC Education offers, an opportunity to talk to unionlearn staff about individual workplaces needs and a chance to network with fellow ULRs from across the regions.

Unionlearn Service Team Manager Ian Borkett said:

Regional Supporting Learners events are always a highlight of the unionlearn year. It is not only a chance to get out and about and tell reps about the latest resources we can offer them, but’s a great opportunity for unionlearn staff to hear about what is happening in the regions and ideas from ULRs about how we can support workplace learning in the future.”
