Unionlearn and the National Extension College (NEC) and been working together to provide learning opportunities to support the development of union learners and union learning representatives (ULRs) for a number of years.
There are a number of benefits for union members though the unionlearn and NEC partnership, including:
* Free taster courses, only available to union members
* 10% discount on all NEC courses
* Access to high quality learning
The free taster courses are an ideal way for people to explore areas they might want take further, and the NEC offers a wide range that are exclusive to union members. Each taster consists of a self-contained extract drawn from a full NEC course, and the list of available subject areas is wide and varied.
Potential learners will find full details on what they can expect, the knowledge and skills you will gain, and the approximate time it will take to study. The materials include activities, self-assessments, opportunities to reflect, and an example assignment at the end.
