Further information: The Trade Union education department works out of two main sites plus outreach centres, and also delivers courses in a variety of workplace learning centres including Rolls Royce, Scotrail, BAE Systems and the Glasgow mail Centre. The department teaches approximately 1400 trade union representatives per year. The Centre is self contained and lift-accessible, and has staff available to meet the majority of learners needs.

The Trade Union education department was created as part of the restructuring of Stow College carried out at the end of 2000. The method of interface with the educational and training needs of the Trade Union Movement is through the TUC Regional Education Service for Scotland. The Department is by far the largest provider in Scotland of TUC Education accounting for approximately 60% of all Scottish TUC Education provision.
