Having decided to make a bid for ULF, the first thing you’ll need is to become familiar with the technology used. The start point is the home page of the members only area, which is where unions new to ULF are invited to register for the application process. Unions who have had projects in the past or run a project currently will use their own home page on the database.
Once registered as a bidder the first step is to complete an expression of interest form, and following approval of that by the ULF team, an application form. Both forms are completed online with a system using basic Microsoft Word features. If you’re unfamiliar with some of the project terminology used, you might find the glossary of terms useful in completing these documents.
Remember too that you’re not on your own. There are a number of ways in which the ULF team can help and support you, and you can also count on other colleagues who have managed ULF projects before.
