Further information: Arfon Dwyfor Training (ADT) is an independent company delivering Essential Skills and Apprenticeships through English and Welsh languages. Established in 1983 in Caernarfon North Wales, the company has grown and now has a second site in Cwmbran South Wales, enabling it to offer training throughout Wales. Further information: The Open University is the largest provider of part-time undergraduate higher education in Wales. It is a world leader in providing innovative and flexible distance learning opportunities at higher education level. In August 2014, the OU in Wales launched OpenLearn Cymru, offering free Welsh and English medium learning resources to encourage access to higher education in both languages. More than 200 companies across Wales sponsor over 800 OU in Wales students. The OU in Wales’ unique partnership with the Wales TUC, and a number of individual trades unions, has seen over 1,800 trades union supported learners register for one of our courses since the partnership began six years ago.

Further information: The Professional Development Centre is committed to developing leadership capability and capacity through creative and innovative experiential learning interventions in both the private and public sectors. The Centre has worked with the TUC in Wales to develop and deliver their Leading Change programme, which covers a range of interventions including outdoor challenges, a leadership walk and using artefacts to create new understandings. The programme contains both Action Learning and Coaching.

Further information: WEA Cymru has been working with the Wales TUC to deliver the TUC Education multi-union programme of training for workplace reps since the Wales TUC was established in 1974. It also works closely with a number of unions affiliated to the TUC to organise single union courses at the request of unions such as UNISON, Unite, GMB and PCS.

WEA Cymru jointly organise with Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) project managers, with workplace ULRs and with employers to deliver courses in the workplace.  WEA Cymru deliver courses to exactly fit the needs of a particular group of learners in the workplace, at a time and place to suit them.
