The HMRC ULRs at Taunton in conjunction with Somerset Skills and Learning, delivered a course entitled "An Introduction to Digital Photography" to staff. The course was arranged by popular demand having quizzed the staff as to their interests, and what courses they would like to attend.

Ten staff attended and they all took part in a follow up competition to create a photograph using the techniques and skills learnt, and a prize was presented to the winner.  

The course tackled issues such as learning barriers, encouraging people back into learning and learning new skills, also cementing our relationship with SSL.

Feedback from staff showed that the course was very well received. HMRC Collector Mark Harper stated:

I found the course interesting and challenging as I had not been in a learning situation for some years, and I will be attending further courses as a result."

ULRs Sally Hogan and Sally Matthews were pleased with the outcome and are using the feedback to help plan future events.
