Policy updates

View our policy updates for the latest on government initiatives on learning and skills and what the TUC is calling for to support the economic recovery, like a new right to retrain for everybody, investment in Further Education and widening access to quality apprenticeships.

The government website guidance for employers on 'Plan for Jobs' skills and employment programmes may be a useful reference. It covers Apprenticeships, Industry placements: T Levels, Kickstart Scheme, National Careers Service, Sector-based work academy programme (SWAP) and Traineeships.
