They are qualifications that show you have gained a good level of learning in a given subject area and can open new opportunities for you. GCSEs are recognised by employers and training providers in the UK as evidence of your first step of formal educational achievement, and as well as A levels, GCSEs are needed to get into college or university.
A levels are internationally recognised qualifications, so they can also open up career or further study opportunities outside the UK, giving you access to a whole world of learning.
You’ll need the right A level subjects to get a place to study an undergraduate degree (even if you’re being sponsored by your employer), or to take a degree apprenticeship, higher apprenticeship, advanced apprenticeship and traineeship.
With NEC’s flexible online courses, you study at a time and pace to suit you. All our GCSE and A level courses are written by experienced teachers and examiners, and are accredited by the internationally recognised and respected awarding bodies: AQA, Pearson Edexcel, CAIE and OCR.
Our students tell us that they value NECs high quality course materials, expert tutor support and guaranteed exam entry; including the marking of non-examination assessment elements such as coursework. We believe that the NEC model of carefully designed learning materials, personal tutor support and exam services, provides our students with the best chance of success. On the basis of our experience, the vast majority of students who work consistently on their courses and complete their assignments go on to pass their exams and achieve very high grades. For this reason we offer a reassuring exam pass guarantee.
We are continuously developing and offering new courses and learning materials; many exclusive to NEC (Such as AS/A-level Further Maths and GCSE Astronomy). We currently offer:
- 20 A levels, including English, maths, biology, chemistry and psychology
- 16 GCSEs including maths, English and a range of science subjects
- Structured Fast Track A levels
- Many vocational and leisure courses, including NCFE CACHE early years, CMI Business courses, art history and counselling.
