Unionlearn will be holding more events aimed at supporting unions to deliver effective Career Kickstart Reviews early in 2020 – with the first session taking place in Newcastle on January 23rd.

Following two highly successful training sessions in London and Manchester unionlearn are now organising regional events in Newcastle, Leeds and Birmingham.

Career Kickstart Reviews have been introduced by unionlearn as a way for union reps to provide careers support for young workers thinking about and planning for their career development.

Unionlearn recently produced a support booklet for those delivering Career Kickstart Reviews and this training session is designed to explore some of the information in that booklet in more detail.

The session will introduce Career Kickstart Reviews and help develop reps confidence in delivering them. The training will help delegates: 

• Understand the background to Career Kickstart Reviews and why they are important
• Have a flavour for some basic theory behind careers-related work
• Understand how a Career Kickstart Review session could be structured
• Have an opportunity to use some of the practical resources available to use

The session starts at 1pm and will conclude by 4pm, lunch will be available for all participants from 12.00 noon.

The ‘Delivering Effective Career Kickstart Reviews’ event is being held on Thursday 23rd January 2020 at the Life Science Centre, Times Square in Newcastle upon Tyne.
