The leaves may be turning red, but this week unionlearn goes green as part of it’s Autumn Festival of Learning.

Environmental sustainability and the skills needed for a green recovery are important issues for the trade union movement and this week unionlearn will be looking at Green Skills and environmental awareness at work.

Unionlearn are spending the week promoting stories and resources around green skills and looking at ways that unions reduce the carbon footprint of their workplaces and build skills for a future low carbon economy.

Unionlearn Projects Communications Officer Keith Hatch said:

Developing skills that support a green recovery are vital for the future of work as the world looks increasingly towards a low carbon future over the coming decades.”

The CoP 26 UN Climate Change Conference was due to have taken place in Glasgow this week, and we felt it the ideal time to share some of the great work that unions have been doing in workplaces across the country, along with resources to support ULRs develop their own green learning plans at work.”
