Make skills count in March with network meeting
Unionlearn is holding its next English, maths and digital skills network meeting live online on 11th March 2021 at 10.30am to link in with Literacy Works Week.
The March meeting covers sessions on Citizen Literacy and essential digital skills along with a chance to find out more about the TUC library.
Policy Officer Kirsi Kekki said:
We are celebrating Literacy Works Week so take a look at resources in the TUC Library and Citizen Literacy adult literacy programme and app.”
We’ll also check what is happening with the digital skills entitlement with the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT.”
The meetings packed agenda includes:
- Kick-off, welcome and housekeeping – Kirsi Kekki, unionlearn
- Citizen Literacy programme – John Casey City of Glasgow College
- TUC Library resources – Jeff Howath, London Met University
- Essential digital skills qualification and entitlement – Clare Hickey, BCS
The network welcomes union reps and project workers and others who are interested in policy developments, supporting English, maths and digital skills learning and sharing ideas and good trade union practice.
