As part of unionlearn’s annual Maths Workout Week ULRs are invited to join Unions’ English, maths and digital skills network and attend October’s Making Skills Count event.
Unionlearn Policy Officer Kirsi Kekki said:
The network event is being held at Congress House on the Thursday 10th October and is a chance to come and discuss the impact of functional skills qualification reforms for your learners and share feedback from your experience.”
Colleagues from Community will be showcasing how their union supports English and digital skills, and there will be time to explore and make best use out of unionlearn’s new digital skills guide “Working to close the Digital Divide”.
To help make this session active, please bring along information of an app or website you’ve found useful/fun/helpful in your work or when supporting learners whether it’s English, maths or digital skills.”
Kirsi will be joined by Independent Education Consultant Sue Southwood to facilitate the event which is an opportunity to discuss English, maths and digital skills learning support in the workplace.
