Following the success of unionlearn’s Career Kickstart Review training events that took place last year, extra sessions have been added this March.

The events will be running in Leeds and Birmingham and aim to give reps practical advice and support in delivering Career Kickstart Reviews to young workers in their workplaces.

Unionlearn recently produced a support booklet ‘Career Kickstart Reviews – A guide for union learning reps’ for those delivering Career Kickstart Reviews and this training session is designed to explore some of the information in that booklet in more detail.

Unionlearn has introduced Career Kickstart Reviews as a way of union reps providing careers support for young people in the workplace in thinking about and planning for their career development.”

The events we are running will introduce Career Kickstart Reviews and help develop your confidence in delivering them.”

The events will:

• Provide background to Career Kickstart Reviews and why they are important
• Introduce some basic theory behind careers-related work
• Show how a Career Kickstart Review session could be structured
• Provide an opportunity to try out some of the Career Kickstart Review activities.

The sessions will start at 1pm and will finish 4pm. Lunch will be available for all participants from 12.00 noon.

The Leeds event is being held on Wednesday 4th March at Leeds City Museum, Millennium Square, Leeds LS2 8BH – more details and booking here.
