Packed programme for Supporting Learners events.
Unionlearn has confirmed a packed agenda for this year’s series of supporting learners events. They start next week and are a vital update for union learning reps or members interested in supporting workplace learning and skills.
The first events are the North West and Yorkshire and The Humber regional sessions and are being held online and it was felt important to keep running times tight, but to also fit in as much practical information and support as possible to give reps and unions the tools they need to support learners through these challenging times.
Each event will have updates from the TUC Regional Secretary as well as a TUC Education update from the local TUC Education Officer.
Speakers from the National Careers Service will updates delegates on the latest information and there will be a briefing on new unionlearn resources.
Create Your Own Future is an exciting new resource from unionlearn and will be an introduction to how this can support workers as well as information on work around the Skills and Recovery agenda.
Despite this being an online event there will be an opportunity for delegates to talk to each other and discuss their recent experiences of supporting workplace learning in two separate breakout sessions.
The session dates are:
21 September 14:00–16:00 Supporting Learners Event – Yorkshire and the Humber
23 September 10:00–12:00 Supporting Learners Event – North West
29 September 10:00–12:00 Supporting Learners Event – Midlands
