Shape up to the future with Learning at Work Week

Learning Centres and union learning reps across the country are preparing for another busy Learning at Work Week.

Learning at Work Week 2019 takes place from 13th to 19th May on the theme 'Shaping the Future' and is an ideal opportunity for unions to promote learning in the workplace, to raise the profile of union supported learning and to engage with employers and colleagues to discuss training needs.

Unionlearn Projects Communications Officer Keith Hatch said:

Learning at Work Week is the perfect chance for Union Learning Reps to engage with colleagues and employers and run something in their workplace.”

The activities don’t need to be work focused and you can run learning sessions in any area you feel that fellow workers can be interested in – this can range from arts and crafts to languages and maths.”

Following Learning at Work Week unionlearn plans to produce stories that highlight the activities and events that unions have done to promote workplace learning.

If you are organising an event, please drop Keith Hatch ([email protected]) at unionlearn a line and will share your story.

There is still time to get involved – just go to the Learning at Work Week website and find out how.
