Nominations are now open for unionlearn’s annual ULR awards, and unions are being encouraged to put forward ULRs who have made a difference to workplace learning and supported workers develop their skills.

The unionlearn awards to Union Learning Reps (ULRs) will once again be presented to reps at this year’s annual conference on Thursday 11th of July 2019.

Unionlearn’s Annual Conference is a chance for unions, learning reps and providers to get together, hear inspiring speakers, take part in workshops and pick the latest resources.

The awards have grown into a conference highlight, and are for ULRs who have supported learning and skills in workplaces across the country and made a difference to the lives of working people by helping colleagues gain new skills – both for personal or work development.

The awards have six categories this year, reflecting key areas of unionlearn’s work:

o        Apprenticeships

o        English (literacy)

o        Maths (numeracy)

o        Supporting disadvantaged learners

o        Older workers

o        Digital
