Unionlearn webinar discusses how unions support apprenticeships
This year the theme for National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is “Build the future”. Our webinar during NAW will focus on the need to support apprentices in these difficult times whilst ensuring they receive a quality apprenticeship.
Apprentices are under tremendous pressure from issues around training time and ensuring particular skills can be applied, all the way through to the fear of redundancy.
Over this last year trade unions have played a massive part in maintaining apprenticeship recruitment and at the same time negotiating issues like furlough schemes for apprentices where they can carry on learning remotely. Supporting apprentices through mentoring has also become very important.
In this webinar we want to hear from you on your experiences on the types of support trade unions offer when it comes to building the future.
Join Mark Rowe, National Apprenticeship Officer and Sarah Jane McConnell, National Education Officer for TSSA to discuss the best ways to ensure apprenticeship standards are maintained and where unions can demonstrate that we are at the forefront of building the future.
