Unions support apprentices during NAW2020

Next week is National Apprenticeship Week and unionlearn will be posting a selection of case studies, resources and guest blogs to highlight the work that unions are doing to support high quality apprenticeships.

National Apprenticeship Week 2020 will take place from 3rd to 9th February this year, with the event being extended to include the weekend for the first time, giving the more opportunities to get involved with activities.

This year’s organisers are encouraging people to be “Fired Up” about apprenticeships, and the week provides the perfect opportunity for unions to shout about the great work they are doing supporting apprenticeships.

Unionlearn has a wide range of resources to help apprentices get the most of the scheme they are involved and understand their rights. These range from publications to eNotes – but the most important resource is the new Apprenticeships Essentials app.

Apprenticeships Essentials is unionlearns all-in-one resource for apprentices and anyone considering an apprenticeship in England. Includes guidance, interactive tools, bite-sized learning, job search and more.

You can download the application for free from the unionlearn website.

If you have any stories about the way that you or your union has supported apprentices in your workplace unionlearn would love to hear from you. Just drop Unionlearn Project Communications Officer Keith Hatch a line on [email protected]
